Hi Friends
      Did you watch the Eclipse on August 21st? Were you under the path of totality?  How has it affected you?
      I had the luxury of seeing one of natures most exciting events, though only at about 99%!.  That's me viewing with my totality glasses on. I loved watching and experiencing the eclipse. I loved feeling the temperature of that hot morning drop as the moon covered the sun.  I loved seeing things go dark on a really sunny morning. I also loved just being there, in my back yard watching that great event, eating my cereal with blueberries and enjoying a mug of tea while watching.  It felt indulgent!
      The weekend before the eclipse I gave 24 mini-readings down in McMinnville at Inner Oasis Metaphysical Store. The people who came were all wonderful and truly wanted to see how the eclipse might impact them and their charts.
      I also got the chance to see how the eclipse would affect me. It sat in the part of my chart which has a lot to do with Pisces and Neptune, and dreams, intuition and fears. Neptune/Pisces can brings foggy, unclear thoughts. I'm most comfortable having clarity and knowing what is coming next and the lack of clarity is what my Virgo ascendant likes least about Neptune and Pisces! 
     In case you don't know, Virgo wants clarity, practicality, discrimination, analysis, order, and tradition. Virgo wants to know what's next and that life is predictable.  
      Neptune and Pisces are not clear about what's coming next or much of anything. They are dreamy and to be taken on faith. I don't like that, but it's one of my lessons.
        The three weeks since the eclipse have been totally, unbelievably chaotic. Things that I thought were OK in my life have not been, and things I thought needed my focus either didn't need focus or I forgot to focus on them.  It has been mixed up and scary.
       Besides the eclipse, Mercury was retrograde for another 15 days and Uranus (unpredictablity) has been moving up to hit my Saturn, Chiron, Neptune, Moon, and Mercury. A few newsletters ago I said a bunch of things about how to work with  Mercury retrograde, but I couldn't remember any of them until now!
      So, for the last few weeks and into the future I can expect times of chaos, unpredictability, fuzziness, and some frustration and anger about it! But besides that it also feels like the spiritual me is being asked to make a leap. 
      Right now, I'm looking for more than surface answers, going into the shadow, clearing out debris, and looking for the jewels among the crap.  
      The eclipse has also encouraged me look at fears. What's next? How will I make it financially for the remainder of my life? How do I step out on faith and be more authentic? How do I continue to live in this culture and not take on everyone else's stuff and at the same time keep my heart open and be vulnerable? How do I protect myself and cleanse but not shut down? It feels like the methods I've used in the past no longer work, so how do I learn new clearing and protection methods quickly and easily? These are some of the fears and questions I'm struggling with.

      This coming Sunday is the Dark Moon and we will be drumming in Tigard at 5:30 pm. I hope you'll join me to clean and clear out and release what is no longer need so we can be ready for the Virgo New Moon, on Tuesday, September 19 at 10:30 pm. As we drum we'll focus on clarity, discrimination, perfection, grounding. As usual there will be extra drums if you don't have your own!
